Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of reconciliation and capital markets. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing projects and possess a keen ability to analyse data to inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Work closely with business teams to gather detailed requirements for reconciliation automation and develop clear use cases to validate and refine those requirements.
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct gap analysis and create comprehensive documentation covering use cases, business processes, user needs, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure all relevant documentation (User Stories, BRDs, FRDs) is prepared and maintained.
- Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by providing input during each phase.
- Design and implement database solutions that meet organisational needs.
- Prepare release notes and coordinate deployment and release activities with both technology teams and business stakeholders.
- Create detailed project documentation, including requirements specifications, use cases, and user stories.
- Provide support during post-production deployment, addressing issues, concerns, and ensuring smooth transition into BAU.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to present findings, recommendations, and project updates.
- Assist in project management activities to ensure the timely delivery of solutions.
Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC principles and methodologies.
- Experience in reconciliation processes, automation, or financial operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Experience in Agile environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
