About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team within the utility sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft ecosystem to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of critical systems that support essential utility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies across enterprise environments.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, patch management, and backups to ensure high availability and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NERC CIP and ISO 27001.
  • Lead or assist in the migration and deployment of new Microsoft services, including cloud initiatives like Azure.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Support IT service continuity planning and disaster recovery for Microsoft-based services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) and cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and access control management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting critical infrastructure.

Desirable Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Server+ or Security+
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
